This listing features the commonly circulating “Blue Lotus” variety that has become the standard within much of the modern blue lotus market. The botanical name is Nymphaea nouchali, a closely related water lily species that is often associated with blue lotus products sold online. This flower has a similar traditional use profile and appearance to Nymphaea caerulea, though the two are taxonomically distinct.

We also offer a rare pale Egyptian-type Nymphaea caerulea specimen here:

Blue lotus has long been associated with vivid dreaming, relaxation, meditative practices, and aphrodisiac folklore throughout various historical herbal traditions. Many people enjoy it as a calming botanical tea or as part of their nighttime ritual.

Instructions for use:

To make blue lotus tea, add one premade tea bag or 3–5 grams of dried flowers to 1–2 cups (250–500 mL) of hot water. Let steep for 5–10 minutes. Some customers also choose to smoke the dried flowers using rolling papers, a pipe, or herbal blends.
